Plain English first: Every health claim on this site traces to a published study, we tell you when evidence is weak, we update articles when the science moves, and no brand can pay for coverage or a review score.
Every article on The Longevity Den starts in the primary literature — peer-reviewed journals, randomized controlled trials, large prospective cohorts, and meta-analyses — not in other websites' summaries of them. We name the studies we rely on in the text (the journal, the year, and the size of the study), link to the primary source or its PubMed record wherever one exists, and state effect sizes honestly, including when they are modest. Our Longevity Calculator lists every study behind every number it uses, with an evidence grade for each factor.
We distinguish between what is established (multiple large trials or consistent cohort data), what is promising (early human data, strong mechanistic evidence), and what is speculative (animal studies, small pilots). When an article covers something with weak or emerging evidence — as much longevity science is — we say so in the article rather than rounding up. We do not present animal-study results as human outcomes, and we flag correlation-versus-causation limits where they matter.
The Longevity Den is researched and written by its founder, Angelo M. — a finance professional with three decades of hands-on training experience and a lifelong obsession with health research — with the discipline for primary sources that a career in analytical finance demands. He is not a physician, and the site carries a medical disclaimer on every page. We are actively working to add independent review by credentialed clinicians (registered dietitians and physicians) for medical and supplement content, and articles will carry a named reviewer byline as that process rolls out.
Health science moves, and articles are updated when it does — each article's structured data carries its last-modified date. When we get something wrong, we correct the article itself rather than quietly deleting it, and material corrections are noted in the text. If you spot an error, tell us at the contact address on our About page; we take these seriously and respond to substantiated corrections quickly.
The site is funded by affiliate commissions, and every page with affiliate links discloses it. That funding does not buy coverage: no brand can pay to appear on this site, sponsor a review, or influence a ranking. Product recommendations are based on published evidence for the ingredient or category first, and product-specific factors (third-party testing, dosing accuracy, value) second. See our full affiliate disclosure.
We do not publish miracle-cure framing, "doctors hate this" clickbait, fear-based supplement marketing, or protocols with meaningful risk and no human evidence. If the honest version of an article is boring, we publish the boring version.
